My Valentine Favorites

Valentine's is one of my favorite holidays. I love love LOVE it!

This year for Nathan I did the 14 Days of Valentine's and loved every minute of it! It was so much fun to spend a little time each day doing something small, but special for my Valentine! (In another post I will try and get all of  the pictures posted from that)!

Nathan had to work all day (7:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m.) on Valentine's and so I was a little bummed. However, I still had a great day with my little Valentine here at home. Kamden and I had a great day together making Valentine's for Dad and we even went out for ice cream together!

He loves ice cream!
Since Nathan had to work on Thursday we decided Saturday would be our Valentine's together! However, on Saturday he surprised me by cleaning our fridge which has been bothering me for a while but haven't had the time to get done.

On Saturday I got biscuits and gravy for breakfast, made completely by the sweet husband I married. We spent the morning just hanging out and cuddling up together as a little family. For the afternoon and early evening I hit the books hard to get some homework done! About 4:00 p.m. came around and Nathan said he was going to slip into town to get a few grocery items. When he came back he had my favorite soda craving and a delicious looking Edible Arrangement complete with a balloon and teddy bear attached! Oh man, I love that Valentine of mine!

My homework ended up lasting a bit longer than I anticipated so for our date that night we were only able to head to dinner but we went to a little, local Italian restaurant in town. Haylee and Dusty Broadhead, some of our friends came along with and we enjoyed some yummy food and conversation.

While we were there and waiting for a table a sweet middle aged woman was admiring my pregnant state. After we were seated close to this woman, her husband, and daughter she asked when I was due and complimented me on how great I looked! This alone was so sweet coming from a perfect stranger as I feel huge and not so attractive these days! I thanked her and we both went back to our separate meals. As this family was getting ready to leave for the night the woman walked over to our table and explained that their family enjoyed random acts of kindness and wanted to give to us a $10 gift card to Target so we could buy something for the baby on the way. She further explained how she appreciated seeing couples who still focused on the blessing of children and the joy that they can bring into our lives. We talked a little of her two children who are now mostly grown and on their own and also of Kamden. This sweet lady wished us luck and commented on enjoying those sweet children. Tears started to stream down my face and I couldn't thank this woman enough for her kind words and her sweet feelings towards children in a time when it seems they are becoming less and less important to people!

This Valentine's was truly a great reminder to me of the sweet Valentine's I have in my life, the dear husband I married almost three years ago, my loveable Kamden Wade, and the sweet little girl that will soon join our family. I couldn't love these three Valentine's more!
